Lūce & Co have been photographing children professionally for 20 years and have small children ourselves. We love little people, we love to capture their quiet moments, there loud and joyous songs, their experiments with colour and shape and all the moments inbetween. We are here to capture these moments for you. Let us create something to remind you of the little things, the special things, the things that in time, will change. Lets create a memory.
Photo day is coming… let the fun begin!
A little preparation before photo day can help children feel comfortable, confident, and excited about their special day.
You can let your child know that a photographer will be visiting kinder to take photos of the things they enjoy doing. Explain that their photos are a way to show their family all the fun things they do while they’re at kinder, from their favourite activities and playtime to the little moments that make their day special.
At Lūce & Co Photography, we take a gentle, child-focused approach. Children are encouraged to participate at their own pace, allowing us to capture genuine moments while they explore, play, and enjoy their kinder day.
The result is a beautiful collection of memories that gives families a little glimpse into their child’s world.
Wondering what to dress them in?
Choosing an outfit for childcare and kinder photos should be just as fun as the photos themselves! We love simple, timeless clothing with beautiful colours, textures and plenty of personality.
These photos are all about capturing the joy, imagination and magic of childhood, so have some fun with their outfit choices! Sorbet pastels, bright pops of colour, rainbows, stripes, spots, checks and playful patterns all look adorable and help create beautiful, timeless images.
A little tip from us, some colours can photograph a little differently; Black clothing can sometimes feel a little heavy in images, while strong reds and hot pinks close to faces (eg red jumper or hot pink t-shirt) can reflect colour onto little faces, so we advise avoiding those on top.
Most importantly, let their little personalities shine! Whether they’re wearing their favourite outfit, a fun pattern, or a colour they love, the best photos happen when they feel happy, comfortable and completely themselves. 🌞🌈🦕🍀🦄🦋

What we do...
- Photograph your child in their everyday Kinder environment
- We take a variety of natural, candid and action shots.
- Approx. 30-40 images per child
- We do sibling shots too if both attend the centre/kinder on the same day
- We make it a fun and enjoyable experience for them, we join in on their games, play chase, make 'lunch' for the dolls or dinosaurs and generally just get involved to make your child feel included, comfortable and safe with us.
- A great connection makes for a great photo and we just love what we do!
