We at Lūce & Co have been photographing children professionally for over 15 years and both have small children ourselves,. We love little people, we love to capture their quiet moments, there loud and joyous songs, their experiments with colour and shape and all the moments inbetween. Getting kids prepped for their Photo day


Kids that have been prepped for photo day are more likely to be comfortable with the photographer on photo day. Letting them know that the photographer is going to be there taking photos to show their parents what they do at kinder all day makes them more willing to show us (the photographer) all their favourite toys and activities.


Wondering what to dress them in?


If you are looking for suggestions on clothing, we would have to say that we love simple clothing, no logos or characters, but colour is a must. Childcare & kinder photos are there to symbolise childhood, so it has to be colourful, be it light pastels, vibrant colours, rainbows, stribes, spots or checks - they're all fun, super cute and will not date. Don't be afraid to really have some fun with it.

What we do...


  • Photograph your child doing outdoor activities and sometimes doing indoor activities if weather does not permit.
  • We take a variety of natural, candid and action shots
  • A studio portrait shot (kinder only)
  • Approx. 20-50 images per child
  • ​We offer complimentary staff photos which we slot in at your convenience.
  • We are more than happy to do sibling shots too if requested.
  • We make it a fun and enjoyable experience for them, we join in on their games, play chase, make 'lunch' for the dolls or dinosaurs and generally just get involved to make your child feel included, comfortable and safe with us. A great connection makes for a great photo.
